Waitlist management : ウィキペディア英語版 | Waitlist management
Waitlist Management is the practice of using multiple systems to help businesses and administrations tactically manage the flow of customers and people. Due to the common problems experienced by locations with high traffic or businesses with high demand, a variety of different methods are used to handle sharp spikes in traffic. From retail, to healthcare, to universities and government administrations - a fundamental understanding of Waitlist Management is necessary for any operation with efficiency as a goal. ==Traditional 1-Line== The traditional 1-line system of customer intake is becoming obsolete due to both innovations in technology and the issues it creates for the customer experience which forces businesses to become more receptive to adapting their Waitlist Management strategy. A long line is a sign of a healthy thriving business. However, the aesthetic of a long line is enough to impulse prospective customers away from engaging with the business in favor of a competitor or alternatives. Long lines also increase the rate of customer frustration, customer expectation, and customer demand. This creates a heavier burden for employees who juggle demanding customers and the time-crux of many more customers expecting service. Although the Traditional 1-Line system is one of the most inefficient methods, it has one very powerful benefit - it is the most intuitive Waitlist Management method. Since people are normally resistant to change in common patterns and habits, an alternative Waitlist Management tactic faces the possibility of being encountered with resistance and confusion.〔() 〕
